About Us
The Story of New Day Ranch
New Day Ranch began as a dream, a vision of healing, growth, and transformation. Founded in 2010, our ranch was built on the belief that the connection between humans and animals can heal wounds, inspire change, and create brighter futures.
New Day Ranch is a fully operational guest ranch located 25 miles south of Cincinnati, OH. The ranch occupies 127-acres of rolling woodlands and pastures and is gated and fully enclosed.
On-site facilities include an events center with meeting rooms, catering kitchen and AV capabilities; a heated arena, stocked lake, creekside nature trails; a Compass team building elements area, outdoor patio, petting zoo (currently housing goats, miniature horses, sheep, alpacas, cats, guinea pigs); and a stable housing 15 horses all trained to deliver therapeutic programs.
Humble Beginnings
Before becoming the home of New Day, our ranch was once the training farm of the world-famous jockey Steve Cauthen, a native of Boone County. In a remarkably generous gesture, a community member purchased and gifted the land to us, allowing us to improve and expand our programs.
The journey began when Beth Long aimed to create a safe and nurturing environment for individuals from all backgrounds. With her passion for equine-based healing and a heartfelt dedication to service, Beth laid the foundation for what has become a sanctuary for healing.
Growth and Transformation
Over the years, New Day Ranch has evolved from a humble idea into a thriving community. With the support of our volunteers and donors, we have expanded our programs to include equine-assisted therapeutic programs, educational workshops, and community outreach initiatives. Each year, we have been privileged to serve children, veterans, and individuals, providing them with a place to reflect, learn, and grow.
Our Mission and Vision
At New Day Ranch, we believe in the power of second chances. Our mission is to create a safe and compassionate environment where individuals can build confidence, resilience, and emotional well-being through therapeutic interactions with horses. Our vision is to continue expanding our impact, reaching more people in need, and fostering a community based on trust, respect, and support.
Looking Ahead
We remain committed to our founding principles as we look toward the future. We are excited to explore new opportunities, strengthen our programs, and deepen our partnerships to ensure that New Day Ranch continues to be a place of hope and transformation for future generations.
